About Me

I am a German translator based in California and have been living in the United States for more than 30 years. While my life is rooted here, my connection to Germany has remained a constant, both personally and through my work.

As an English–German translator, I support agencies and businesses with translation, editing, and proofreading. My focus is on producing German that reads naturally and fits the context in which it is used. This includes business communication, training and educational materials, market research and marketing content, as well as technical outdoor content.

My background in Applied Linguistics and years of professional experience allow me to work with a wide range of content. I pay close attention to how meaning is conveyed, not just what is said, so that the final text feels clear, appropriate, and usable.

Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible outdoors and lead a weekly meditation group, which brings a different kind of focus and balance to my day-to-day life.
